The SFW7S-2STME1LF is a 7-position, vertical FFC/FPC connector on 1.00 mm pitch — the board footprint is compact enough for dense layouts, and the vertical orientation keeps the cable perpendicular to the PCB, which helps in low-profile enclosures where right-angle connectors would force a bend radius. Zero insertion force (ZIF) actuation with a slide lock means the FFC slides in without contact wear, then the lock holds it in place — no secondary latch or TPA needed. The solder retention feature adds mechanical hold during reflow and resists shear from cable strain. The tin-plated phosphor bronze contacts are rated for 20 mating cycles — this is a set-and-forget interconnect for internal harnesses, not a frequent-disconnect cable port.
