ZIF Actuation and Slide Lock
Zero insertion force actuation means the FFC or FPC slides into the contact cavity without force on the pads — the slide lock then clamps the contacts down. This avoids pad damage during assembly and holds the cable in place under vibration without a secondary latch.
The tin contact finish supports this duty cycle without fretting corrosion over the connector's service life.
Cable Compatibility: FFC and FPC, 0.30mm to 0.33mm Thick
Accepts both FFC and FPC cables with a thickness range of 0.30mm to 0.33mm. The cable end must be notched and tapered — this geometry ensures the cable seats fully under the contacts before the slide lock engages.
Housing and Material Ratings
The SFW-R series offers the same 1.00mm pitch, 2.70mm height, ZIF slide lock, and tin contacts in 6-position (SFW6R-4STE1LF) and 10-position (SFW10R-4STE1LF) variants. If the BOM requires more or fewer circuits, the footprint and cable pitch stay identical — only the position count changes.
