The Hirose BNC-EL is a solder tag accessory designed for use with BNC bulkhead jacks. It provides a solderable termination point for ground or shield connections on the rear of a BNC jack, letting you land a wire directly to the shell without modifying the connector body. This is a field-installable part, not a connector half — it complements the BNC interface, not replaces it.
The BNC-EL is made to work with standard BNC bulkhead jacks — the same 50-ohm bayonet interface common across RF test, video, and telecom panels. It attaches to the jack's rear shell, typically between the nut and the panel, giving you a solder lug for a ground wire. It does not alter the RF performance of the BNC interface; it is purely a mechanical and electrical termination aid.
