The Hirose DF12D(3.0)-20DP-0.5V(81) is a 20-position, dual-row header with outer shroud contacts from the DF12 series, designed for board-to-board mezzanine stacking at a 3 mm mated height.
What the 3 mm Stack Height and Board Guides Mean for Assembly
The board guides are molded into the shroud and align the header to the receptacle during reflow, taking shear loads off the 0.50 mm pitch solder joints. On a pick-and-place line, those guides also prevent tombstoning by centering the part on the pads before the paste reflows.
