0.50mm Pitch Mezzanine Receptacle for Board-Stacking
The Hirose DF17(4.0)-60DS-0.5V(57) is a 60-position receptacle with center strip contacts, part of the DF17 series of fine-pitch board-to-board mezzanine connectors. It uses a 0.50mm pitch in a dual-row layout, terminated by surface mount (SMT) for automated pick-and-place assembly. The connector is designed for parallel board stacking applications where a compact footprint and reliable signal connection are needed between two PCBs.
Stacking Height Options and Mating
This receptacle supports three mated stacking heights: 6mm, 6.5mm, and 8mm, depending on the mating plug selected from the DF17 series. The height above board of this receptacle itself is 4.50mm, so the total stack height is determined by the plug height plus this receptacle height. This flexibility lets a designer use one receptacle across multiple board-spacing requirements in a product family. The plug is also SMT-terminated and available in the same tape-and-reel packaging for high-volume assembly.
