Board-Stacking Interconnect for Tight Z-Budgets
The Hirose DF40C(2.0)-70DS-0.4V(51) is a 70-position receptacle from the DF40 series, designed for board-to-board mezzanine stacking. Surface-mount termination with gold-plated contacts (2.00µin / 0.051µm thickness) on the mating interface. The 0.40mm pitch means the board layout needs fine-line routing and micro-vias to escape the inner rows; this is not a connector for coarse 2-layer boards.
The 70-position count is the middle option in the DF40C(2.0) family. The 60-position and 50-position versions (DF40C(2.0)-60DS-0.4V(51) and DF40C(2.0)-50DS-0.4V(51)) are also direct drop-in alternatives for lower-density designs, all sharing the same 0.077" (1.95mm) height above board.
