Board-Stacking Interconnect for Tight Z-Height Budgets
The Hirose DF40TC-30DS-0.4V(58) is a 30-position receptacle from the DF40T series, designed for board-to-board mezzanine stacking where the vertical clearance is tight. It uses center strip contacts in a 2-row layout on a 0.40mm pitch, with a mated stacking height of 1.5mm. That 1.5mm figure is the lowest stack height in the DF40T family — the connector is sized for parallel PCB assemblies where the gap between boards is barely wider than the component height on the underside.
SMT Assembly and Solder Retention
The pick-and-place feature means the reel packaging (Tape & Reel or Cut Tape) feeds directly into a placement machine without a tray change.
