The Hirose DF40TC(2.5)-50DS-0.4V(58) is a 50-position receptacle from the DF40T series, designed for board-to-board mezzanine connections where the vertical clearance is tight. The 0.40mm pitch and 2.5mm mated stacking height let you route high-density signals between parallel PCBs in compact handheld devices, wearables, or camera modules.
Stack Height and Board Spacing
The mated stacking height is 2.5mm, fixing the gap between the two PCBs once the header and receptacle are mated.
SMT Termination and Assembly Features
Surface-mount termination with solder retention pads and a pick-and-place vacuum area — the connector is designed for automated assembly. The solder retention feature holds the part in place during reflow, preventing tombstoning or shift on a fine-pitch 0.40mm footprint.

At 50 positions, this is a high-density member of the DF40T family. The sibling DF40TC(3.0)-40DS-0.4V(58) shares the same 0.40mm pitch and gold plating but drops to 40 positions and a taller 2.90mm stack height — choose it when the board spacing opens up and you need fewer lines. The DF40TC-50DS-0.4V(58) and DF40TC-50DS-0.4V(51) also carry 50 positions at the same pitch but with a 1.45mm stack height, which is nearly half the z-height of this part — those are for ultra-thin builds where the 2.5mm gap won't fit.
