The X.FL-R-SMT-1(02): It sits in the X.FL series — Hirose's ultra-miniature coaxial line that shares the same interface as the industry-standard U.FL. The gold-plated phosphor bronze body and brass center contact, plated with gold, handle the signal path with low loss through the rated band.
Termination is SMT on both the shield and the center contact — the part reflows with the board in a standard solder profile. The shield termination is solder, so the ground connection is made directly to the PCB pad. The snap-on fastening engages with an audible click; the connector is not designed for repeated disconnect. The Liquid Crystal Polymer (LCP) dielectric holds up through reflow and the -40°C to 90°C operating range.
What the 6 GHz and 20-Cycle Ratings Mean
The 6 GHz frequency ceiling covers Wi-Fi 6E (5.925–7.125 GHz) and most sub-6 GHz 5G bands, but not mmWave. The 20 mating cycles are the practical limit for the gold-on-gold contact interface; after that the plating wear increases contact resistance and the snap-on retention loosens. For a production line that mates the cable once and never touches it again, 20 cycles is plenty. For a test fixture or a field-swappable antenna cable, look at the U.FL-R-SMT-1(40) which offers 30 cycles.
