What This Housing Is — and What It Isn't
The Hirose DF62B-3EP-2.2C(10) is a 3-position, 2-row plug housing from the DF62 series, built on a 2.20mm pitch with a 2.00mm row spacing. It's a free-hanging (in-line) crimp housing — you terminate wires to separate male pin contacts, then insert them into the cavity. This is a housing-only part: the crimp terminals are ordered separately, and that's the most common sourcing miss on this line.
3 Positions in 2 Rows — the Asymmetry Matters
Three circuits in a two-row layout gives you one row with two positions and the other with one. That's an asymmetric cavity arrangement compared to the 4-position DF62B-4EP-2.2C(10), which splits evenly at 2+2. For harness assembly, the odd-row layout means the wire bundle exits with a lopsided profile — something to account for in cable routing and strain relief. The latch holder is the same across the series, so the mating interface and lock feel are identical to the 4-position sibling.
No end-of-life notice or last-time-buy is on record. It's available through independent distribution — we source it per RFQ against your BOM quantity. The white colour and bulk packaging are standard for the DF62 series.
Mating and Termination — the Contact Question
This plug housing accepts male pin crimp terminals from the DF62 contact family. Termination is crimp-style, free-hanging, with the latch holder providing the secondary lock.
