What This Backshell Does in the DH Series
The Hirose DH-27-CV2B is a two-piece backshell and cover designed to terminate a 27-position DH series circular connector assembly. This backshell is the strain-relief and EMI-shielding termination point for round cable harnesses using the DH series.
Position Count and Cable Exit — Fit Check
The 27-position count is the first thing to match against your connector. This backshell fits a 27-contact DH series plug or receptacle — no more, no fewer. The 180° cable exit means the cable runs straight back from the connector body, not at a right angle. That matters when you're routing inside a panel or enclosure where a 90° exit would interfere with a wall or adjacent component.
Shielding and Hardware — What You Get and What You Don't
The metal shell provides 360° shielding around the cable termination — useful for signal integrity in electrically noisy environments. The assembly hardware is present (the screw posts and cover), but the M2.3 mating screws themselves are a feature of the design, not included hardware. You'll need to source M2.3 screws separately to secure the backshell to the connector. The cover is a steel/plastic composite, giving a balance of mechanical strength and weight.
