SCSI Plug for Shielded Cable Assemblies
The Hirose DH40-27S is a 27-position SCSI plug from the DH series, built with center strip contacts arranged in two rows. It is a free-hanging (in-line) connector terminated by soldering the contacts to the cable conductors, and the shielded shell provides EMI containment for high-speed parallel data links. Gold plating on the contacts handles the repeated mating cycles typical of SCSI interconnects in test equipment, storage arrays, and industrial controllers.
Shielding and Signal Integrity
The shielded shell ties to the cable shield, bleeding common-mode noise to ground before it reaches the contact interface.
Mating and Termination
This plug mates with the matching DH series receptacle. Termination is solder — each center strip contact gets soldered to the individual cable conductor.
