FI Series Backshell, 15-Position, 180° Exit
The Hirose FI-20-CV(60) is a two-piece backshell designed for the FI series of rectangular connectors, providing strain relief and cable management for a 15-position connector with a 180° cable exit. The gray polycarbonate (PC) housing includes a locking feature to secure the backshell halves together, preventing accidental separation in service. This is the 15-position variant of the FI-20-CV backshell family, intended for use with the corresponding FI series plug or receptacle.
Position Count and Cable Exit
The 15-position FI-20-CV(60) accepts a round cable bundle and routes it straight out the back of the connector (180° exit). The 15-position count matches the circuit count of the FI series connector it covers, so the backshell fits the connector body without interference.
Housing Material and Locking Feature
Molded from polycarbonate (PC), the FI-20-CV(60) offers good impact resistance and dimensional stability for industrial environments. The locking feature on the two-piece clamshell design keeps the backshell halves closed around the cable and connector, providing mechanical retention that resists pull-out forces during handling or vibration. The gray color is standard for this variant.
