The mated stacking height is 2 mm, with the header standing 0.075" (1.90 mm) above the board. Board guide features and solder retention tabs help align the connector during reflow and keep it anchored through vibration.
Mating and Stack Height Details
This header mates with the FX11LA-140S-SV receptacle, which also carries 140 positions on the same 0.50 mm pitch. The mated pair gives a 2 mm stack height — the board-to-board gap after mating. The receptacle's center strip contacts align with the header's outer shroud contacts. Both parts use gold plating (4.00 µin) on the mating surfaces, so contact resistance stays consistent across repeated matings. If your design needs a different z-height, the FX11 series includes other stacking heights — check the receptacle variant's height above board to match your gap.
Position Count and Series Siblings
At 140 positions, this is the highest-density member of the FX11 header family at this pitch and stack height. The FX11LA-100P/10-SV(71) is a 100-position sibling with the same 0.50 mm pitch, same 1.90 mm height, and same gold finish — but with a ground plate and fewer circuits. If your BOM calls for 100 I/O instead of 140, that variant drops in without changing the board footprint or stack height. For the 140-position version, the only packaging difference from the FX11LA-140P-SV(22) is tape-and-reel vs tray; the connector itself is identical.
