20-Position SMT Receptacle with Outer Shroud Contacts
The Hirose FX2-20S-1.27SV(71) is a 20-position receptacle from the FX2 series, designed for surface-mount soldering. Its defining feature is the outer shroud contacts style, where the contact beams are arranged around the perimeter of the connector body rather than in a central pin field. This shroud mates with a corresponding header's pin blades, providing inherent polarization and protection for the contacts during handling. SMT Termination and Board Layout Fit
Termination is solder-only via surface-mount pads, with no through-hole posts. The 1.27 mm pitch is tight enough for dense routing but still within the capability of standard SMT assembly equipment.
