The Hirose FX2-60S-1.27SV(71) is a 60-position receptacle from the FX2 series, designed for parallel board-to-board interconnects where signal density and a compact footprint are the priorities. The 1.27 mm pitch and dual-row layout pack 60 circuits into a board area that a 2.54 mm pitch part would need roughly twice the space to cover. This connector is specified for surface-mount soldering, so the reflow profile needs to match the gold-plated termination tails — standard SAC305 solder works fine, but the board pad layout must follow the Hirose recommended footprint for the 1.27 mm pitch.
The ROHS3 compliance means it meets the current exemption framework for lead-free assembly — no special handling waivers needed for a production line running ROHS-compliant processes.
This receptacle mates with the FX2 series pin header (male) half, which carries the same 1.27 mm pitch and dual-row configuration. The outer shroud on the receptacle side accepts the header's shroud, creating a self-aligning interface that reduces pin stubbing during assembly.
