32-Position, 1.27mm Pitch Board-to-Board Receptacle
The Hirose FX2C2-32S-1.27DSAL(71) is a 32-position, 2-row board-to-board receptacle from the FX2 series. It uses outer shroud contacts, which means the mating interface is a shielded shell that guides the plug header into alignment — a design that protects the signal pins during blind mating in stacked PCB assemblies. The 1.27 mm pitch and dual-row layout give a 32-circuit density that fits between standard 2.54 mm and fine-pitch 0.8 mm board-stacking connectors.
Through-Hole Termination with Board Lock
Through-hole solder termination — the pins pass through the board and are wave-soldered, giving a stronger mechanical anchor than an SMT footprint alone. The board lock is a pair of plastic or metal posts that snap into plated through-holes, holding the connector flat against the board during reflow and preventing lift-off when the mating header is inserted or removed. This is a practical feature for a board-to-board connector that will see field service or repeated disconnect cycles.
