0.80mm Pitch, 40 Positions — Mezzanine Header for Tight Board Stacks
The Hirose FX6-40P-0.8SV1(71) is a 40-position, dual-row header from the FX6 series of board-to-board mezzanine connectors. The 0.236" (6.00mm) height above board, combined with the 6mm and 8mm mated stacking heights, defines the z-axis clearance for the mezzanine card above the motherboard.
Stack Height Selection — 6mm or 8mm Mated Pair
This header supports two mated stacking heights: 6mm and 8mm, depending on the mating receptacle used.
Gold Contacts, SMT — No Solder Tail to Route Around
The surface-mount termination eliminates through-holes on the board, freeing routing channels on inner layers. No solder tail means no plated-through-hole clearance issues on the motherboard.
The FX6-40P-0.8SV2(71) is the same 40-position, 0.80mm pitch header but with a taller 0.275" (6.99mm) board height. That 0.99mm difference changes the mated stack height — the SV1(71) gives a lower profile for tighter card spacing. Both are active, both use gold contacts and SMT termination. The choice is purely z-axis clearance: if the card-to-board gap is under 7mm, the SV1(71) fits; if you need the extra 0.99mm for component keep-out on the mezzanine card, the SV2(71) is the one.
ROHS3 compliant. No official cross-reference outside the FX6 family.
