The Hirose FX8-100S-SV(22) is a 100-position, 0.60 mm pitch receptacle from the FunctionMax™ FX8 series. It's a surface-mount, center-strip contact connector designed for parallel board-to-board stacking. The 2.26 mm height above board, combined with the 3 mm and 4 mm mated stacking heights, makes it a fit for mezzanine or sandwich-style board stacks where z-height is tight.
The 0.024" (0.60 mm) pitch is the tightest constraint on your board layout. That spacing drives the trace-and-space rules for routing between pads, and it limits per-contact current to what a fine-pitch SMT pad can handle — expect signal-level duty, not power.
Stack Height Options: 3 mm or 4 mm
The FX8-100S-SV(22) supports two mated stacking heights: 3 mm and 4 mm. That's the distance from the top of the bottom board to the bottom of the top board when mated with the matching FX8 header. The 0.089" (2.26 mm) height above board is the receptacle's own profile on the PCB — the header's height determines which stack height you end up with. Pick the pair that fits your enclosure's z-height budget.
The FX8-100S-SV(22) is one of four packaging variants of the same 100-position, 0.60 mm pitch FX8 receptacle. The FX8-100S-SV(21) comes in a Tube, and the base FX8-100S-SV ships in a Tray. The choice is purely about how your pick-and-place line feeds parts: tape for automated assembly, tube or tray for hand-load or low-volume. The connector itself is identical across all four.
