120-Position Mezzanine Receptacle at 0.60mm Pitch
The Hirose FX8-120S-SV(21) is a 120-position receptacle from the FunctionMax™ FX8 series, built as a center-strip-contact mezzanine connector for board-to-board stacking. The 0.024" (0.60mm) pitch packs 120 circuits into a dual-row layout, making it a dense interconnect for parallel PCB assemblies where board real estate is tight.
With a height above board of 0.089" (2.26mm), this receptacle mates to stacking heights of 3mm or 4mm depending on the header half chosen. That gives the layout engineer two z-height options from the same receptacle footprint — useful when the top board has tall components or when a lower profile is needed. The surface-mount termination suits reflow assembly, and the 0.60mm pitch demands a controlled impedance trace width on the PCB; standard 0.5 oz copper with 0.3mm trace/space will route two signals between pads.
