Stack Height and Board Guide — Fit for Assembly
The FX8-80S-SV mates at either 3mm or 4mm, depending on the plug half selected — the receptacle itself is the same for both heights, which simplifies BOM management across builds with different board spacing. The built-in board guide aligns the two PCBs during mating and takes shear loads off the fine-pitch contacts during assembly or vibration. At 0.60mm pitch, the alignment feature is not optional — it prevents bent contacts when the boards are mated off-angle.
