The 0.175" (4.45mm) height above board places the mating interface at a fixed distance from the PCB surface. The mated stack heights — 5mm or 10mm — are determined by the receptacle half, not this header. An engineer designing a tight enclosure should verify the total board-to-board gap against the chosen receptacle's height, since the FX8C series offers multiple receptacle heights that pair with this same header.
Position and Pitch — BOM Fit Check
With 100 positions on a 0.60mm pitch, this header fills a dense signal interconnect. The 0.60mm pitch demands a precise PCB footprint — the solder pads and routing channels leave little room for error. Confirm the BOM circuit count matches 100 positions; a 120-position mezzanine connector from a different series will not fit this footprint.
Comparing the Height Variants
The FX8C-100P-SV(92) shares its 100-position count, 0.60mm pitch, and gold plating with three siblings that differ only in height above board. The FX8C-100P-SV(93) matches the 0.175" (4.45mm) height of this part. The FX8C-100P-SV2(92) steps up to 0.254" (6.45mm), and the FX8C-100P-SV4(92) to 0.333" (8.45mm). All four use the same footprint and receptacle family — the choice is purely the z-height clearance in the assembly. If the board stack is fixed, pick the variant whose height matches the enclosure gap; if the gap is adjustable, the lowest profile (this one) saves space.
