What the 0.60mm Pitch Means for Board Layout
The 0.024" (0.60mm) pitch is the tightest in the FunctionMax family — it drives a dense footprint that routes signals between two PCBs at a mated stack height selected from five options: 5mm, 6mm, 7mm, 9mm, or 11mm.
Stack Height Selection — the Receptacle Doesn't Choose It
The FX8C-100S-SV(68) itself is a fixed-height receptacle at 0.155" (3.95mm) above the board. The mated stack height — 5mm, 6mm, 7mm, 9mm, or 11mm — is determined by the mating header, not this part. That means the same receptacle order code works across multiple board-spacing requirements, as long as the header height is specified separately. For a 5mm stack, pair this with the matching low-profile header; for 11mm, use the taller header variant like the FX8C-100S-SV5(91) at 0.352" (8.95mm).
