It uses a 0.024" (0.60mm) pitch in a 2-row format with center strip contacts, all gold-plated for reliable signal integrity across repeated mating cycles. The surface-mount termination and integrated board guide simplify alignment during reflow assembly. This receptacle is the fixed half of a mezzanine pair, intended to mate with the matching FX8C series header to create a stack-up that fits five different board-spacing heights: 5mm, 6mm, 7mm, 9mm, or 11mm.
Stack Height Flexibility and Board Layout
A single FX8C-100S-SV(93) receptacle supports mated stacking heights of 5mm, 6mm, 7mm, 9mm, and 11mm. This means the same PCB footprint and receptacle can be used across multiple board-spacing requirements in a product family, reducing the number of qualified parts on the BOM. The 0.60mm pitch packs 100 positions into a compact footprint, so the PCB layout must accommodate fine-pitch routing and via fan-out between the two rows.
