This receptacle supports five mated stacking heights: 5mm, 6mm, 7mm, 9mm, and 11mm. That range covers most mezzanine layouts — from tight 5mm gaps in handheld gear to 11mm for modules that need component clearance underneath. The same receptacle works across all five heights, which simplifies BOM management if you have multiple board spacings in the same product family.
Mating Connector and Compatibility
The FX8C-140S-SV(93) mates with the matching FX8C series pin headers — same 0.60mm pitch, same 140-position count, two rows. The header side determines the final stack height; pick the header with the right post height for your board spacing. Both halves are keyed by the contact arrangement, so a 140-position receptacle won't accidentally mate with a 120-position header — the position count has to match.
