What This Retainer Does in the GT13 System
The Hirose GT13SC-2/1PP-R is a retainer — a secondary lock — designed for the GT13 series of crimp-style connectors. It slides into the GT13 housing after the terminals are inserted, pressing down on the contact lances to prevent back-out under vibration or cable strain. This one is keyed for 3-position GT13 housings only; the position count is not negotiable. The body is molded from gray Polybutylene Terephthalate (PBT), a standard connector-grade thermoplastic with good dielectric strength and dimensional stability for the operating range of the GT13 series. It ships in a bag.
Position Count Match — 3-Position Housing Only
This retainer is listed for use with GT13 housings of 3 positions. The sibling GT13SC-4/1S-R serves 5-position GT13 housings, and the GT13SC-1/1S-R mates with a single-position GT13 housing. The GT13SH-1/1P-R is a different retainer variant for 2-position housings. Select by the number of cavities in your housing — the wrong count will not seat.
