What it is — GT16-PC insulator
The GT16-PC is an accessory insulator from Hirose's GT16 series, moulded in Natural-coloured Polybutylene Terephthalate (PBT). It is not a terminal or a housing — it is the dielectric spacer that sits inside the crimp contact cavity of a GT16 connector, isolating the terminal from the housing wall and maintaining creepage distance between adjacent circuits.
Where it fits — GT16 series compatibility
This insulator is designed for use with GT16 Series connectors. It fits into the crimp terminal cavity of the mating GT16 plug or receptacle housing, one insulator per contact position. If you are building a GT16 harness and the crimp terminal drawing calls for a separate insulator (the PC suffix on the order code), this is the part that goes between the terminal barrel and the housing wall. No insulator means the terminal can short to the shield or adjacent contacts in a dense multi-position layout.
