Housing for the GT16 Series
The Hirose GT16C-1PP-HU(B) is a connector housing in the GT16 series, built as a single-piece PBT shell in green. It is an accessory-type housing — it holds the crimped M terminals and provides the mating interface, not a terminal or header itself. The keyed body ensures the plug and receptacle align only one way, which blocks mis-mating in a harness where multiple similar connectors sit close together.
Terminal Fit and Keying
This housing is designed for use with Hirose M terminals — the crimp contacts that carry the signal or power through the connector. The keying feature (a mechanical polarisation rib or slot in the housing wall) means the plug only mates with a receptacle that has the matching keyway. On a harness assembly bench, that saves the rework of a reversed connector pair. The green colour is a visual identifier, not a functional spec, but it helps when stocking several GT16 variants side by side.
