Housing for F-Terminal Wire-to-Wire Splices
The Hirose GT5-1S-HU(35) is a single-position housing from the GT5 series, designed as the receptacle for Hirose F series crimp terminals. This is the part that holds the terminal in a wire-to-wire or wire-to-board splice — it is not a terminal itself, but the insulating body that positions and retains the F terminal after crimping. The housing is keyed, which prevents inserting the mating terminal in the wrong orientation, a common assembly error in multi-wire harnesses. The gray color distinguishes it from other color-coded siblings in the GT5 series, allowing harness builders to visually identify wire runs by color at a glance.
PBT Body and Keyed Fit
The housing is molded from Polybutylene Terephthalate (PBT). The keyed feature prevents reversed insertion of the mating F terminal.
