Panel-Mount Signal Receptacle for Field-Serviceable Links
The Hirose HR10A-10R-10SB(72) is a 10-position circular receptacle from the HR10A series, designed for panel-mount applications where a compact, push-pull locking interconnect is needed. It uses female sockets on a zinc-alloy shell with a nickel finish, terminated via solder cups to the rear of the bulkhead. The 2 A per-contact rating and 100 VAC / 140 VDC voltage envelope suit it for signal-level power and control circuits, not mains distribution.
Mounting and Mating — What Fits
The push-pull fastening means no threaded coupling — just push to mate, pull to release, which speeds field service. It mates with any HR10A-series plug that has a 10-position insert (male pins); the keyed orientation prevents misalignment. The shell size 10 insert is standard for 10-contact HR10A connectors.
Plating Grade — Gold vs. Silver, and the (71) Sibling
The (72) suffix specifies gold-plated mating contacts (8.00 µin), while the sibling HR10A-10R-10SB(71) uses silver plating (78.7 µin). Both are 10-position receptacles with identical mechanicals, current, and voltage ratings. If your application does not require the corrosion margin of gold, the (71) is a functional cross — same shell, same insert, same panel cutout.
