The Hirose HR10A-7J-6S(73) is a 6-position circular jack with female sockets, part of the HR10A series. Sizing the Electrical Envelope
The silver-plated contacts are fine for moderate signal duty and occasional mating cycles, but if your application needs frequent connect-disconnect or operates in a corrosive atmosphere, the silver finish may tarnish over time.
Mating Half and Field Assembly
This jack mates with the HR10A-7P-6S(73) plug, which also has female sockets — so both halves terminate with solder cups. The push-pull latch locks audibly when fully mated; the keying prevents cross-mating with other shell-size 7 connectors in the series. For field wiring, the solder cup accepts stranded wire; the backshell clamp and strain relief take the cable jacket, so the solder joints aren't the mechanical anchor. The shell size 7 is the same across the 4-position and 6-position variants, so the panel cutout is identical.
