The Hirose HR10A-7R-4S(73) is a 4-position receptacle from the HR10A series, designed as a panel-mount, push-pull locking connector for signal and low-power circuits. It uses female sockets with a silver-plated mating finish, terminated via solder cups, and is housed in a nickel-plated zinc alloy shell with a polyamide (nylon) insert.
The push-pull fastening mechanism provides a positive lock that resists accidental unmating under vibration, while the keyed orientation prevents misalignment during mating. Panel mounting via a bulkhead rear-side nut secures the receptacle to the panel cutout.
Position Count and Series Compatibility
At 4 positions, this receptacle is the lowest circuit-count option in the HR10A shell size 7 family. It mates with the corresponding 4-position plug HR10A-7R-4P(73) (male pins, silver contacts). For a higher-density harness, the 6-position sibling HR10A-7R-6S(73) uses the same shell size but has a lower voltage rating of 100 VAC / 140 VDC due to reduced creepage between contacts.
