The Hirose HR10G-10R-12PB(71) is a 12-position shielded receptacle with male pins from the HR10G series, designed for panel-mount applications where a compact, push-pull circular connector is needed. It carries 2 A per contact at 100 VAC or 140 VDC, making it a signal-level interconnect suited for sensor feeds, encoder lines, and control signals in industrial enclosures. The nickel-plated zinc alloy shell provides continuous shielding when mated, and the push-pull fastening lets you disconnect by pulling straight on the plug body — no threaded collar to unscrew in tight cabinet spaces.
The 2 A per contact rating reflects the signal-duty design — each phosphor bronze pin with 78.7 µin silver mating finish carries enough current for typical 24 VDC sensor loops or low-power instrumentation circuits, but this is not a power-distribution connector. If your harness runs near VFDs, switching power supplies, or motor drives, the HR10G's shielded shell gives a continuous ground path through the panel bulkhead that the HR10A lacks. Both use the same panel cutout and mating plug, so swapping between them is a shell-level decision, not a footprint change.
