What This Stopper Plate Does in the Assembly
The Hirose HR12-10R-SP(71) is a silver stopper plate for the HR12 series circular connectors, shell size 10. It installs onto the rear of an HR12 or HR10 receptacle to prevent the cable or backshell from over-rotating or pulling through the connector body — a mechanical stop, not an electrical contact. The plate is supplied in a bag, one per order code.
Fit and Compatibility — Shell Size 10
This stopper plate fits HR12 series receptacles with shell size 10. It also works with the HR10 series receptacles of the same shell size — the HR10-10R-C dust cap is a different accessory (black, bulk, with a strap and ring), but the stopper plate shares the same mounting interface. For a build-to-print cable assembly, the full BOM includes the receptacle, the stopper plate, the crimp contacts, and the backshell; the plate is what keeps the cable jacket from walking inside the shell under tension.
