Sealed Circular Plug for Harsh Environments

The Hirose HR30-6P-3S(31) is a 3-position (power) circular plug from the HR30 series, designed for free-hanging (in-line) cable termination.

Cable Termination and Strain Relief

Termination is via solder cup — each contact is hand-soldered to the wire, then the backshell and coupling nut are assembled over the cable entry. The cable opening range is 0.165" to 0.197" (4.20 mm to 5.00 mm), which accepts common multi-conductor cables in that diameter range. The integrated backshell, coupling nut, and strain relief protect the solder joints from cable pull and flex fatigue.

Push-Pull Mating and Keying

The connector uses a push-pull fastening system — the plug is pushed onto the receptacle until the coupling nut clicks into place, and pulled to release. The shell is keyed, preventing rotational misalignment during mating.
