What This Cover Does

The Hirose HR30-7R-C(31) is a Size 7 cap/cover for the HR30 series of circular connectors. It protects the face of an HR30 receptacle when unmated, keeping dust and moisture out of the contact cavity. Molded from chloroprene rubber (CR), it seals against the mating face and includes an integral strap with a ring so it stays tethered to the cable or panel — no loose cap to lose on a machine floor.

This cap fits HR30 series receptacles with Shell Size 7. That shell size is keyed to the insert pattern — a Size 7 cap will not seal a Size 6 or Size 8 receptacle. The matching plug-side cap is the HR30-7P-C(31), which fits the plug half.
