Sealed Power Interconnect for Harsh Environments
The Hirose HR34B-12WRB-4P is a 4-position (power) receptacle with male pins in shell size 12, part of the HR34B circular connector series. It is designed for telecommunications and industrial applications where the connector must withstand moisture, oil, and dust ingress — the housing carries an IP67F/IP68F rating, meaning it is dust-tight and waterproof to sustained immersion.
The shell size 12 accommodates the larger-diameter contacts needed for 5 A with adequate creepage for the voltage rating implied by the IP seal.
The shell is zinc alloy with a chrome finish, providing corrosion resistance in outdoor or industrial atmospheres. The insert is molded from polyphenylene sulfide (PPS), a high-temperature thermoplastic rated UL94 V-0 for flammability — the PPS insert holds the contacts in alignment and withstands the soldering heat during termination. Contacts are brass with silver mating finish. The connector is ROHS3 compliant.
