Both adapter ends are SC receptacles, so it acts as a straight-through inline splice point — no hybrid conversion. The zirconia ferrule provides the precise alignment required for single-mode and multimode links, with a typical insertion loss well under 0.5 dB (manufacturer spec). The housing is synthetic resin with a snap-in flange mount, so it locks into a rectangular panel cutout without extra hardware. A dust cap is included to protect the ferrule end-face when the port is unmated.
