Simplex Plug for 0.9mm Fiber — HSC Series
The HSC-PH0.9-E1(26): The HSC-PH0.9-(26): The Hirose HSC-PH0.9-(26) is a simplex plug in the HSC fiber-optic connector series, designed for field termination of 0.9mm jacketed fiber. It accepts fiber with a 9.5µm or 50µm core and 125µm cladding, making it suitable for both single-mode and multimode links. The plug is PC polished for low back-reflection and includes a built-in strain relief at the boot exit to protect the fiber from bend damage during handling. The blue boot provides visual identification, and the free-hanging in-line mounting suits patch panel or splice tray installations where a panel-mount receptacle is not required.
This part is on Last Buy status. The manufacturer has announced the end of production, and the final ordering window is open. Once stock is exhausted through the remaining channel supply, no further replenishment will be available.
Termination and Mating Interface
The plug mates with HSC ferrules, which are the actual fiber-termination interface. The ferrule is crimped or epoxied onto the prepared fiber, then inserted into the plug body. The PC-polished endface on the ferrule provides the optical contact surface. For a complete mated pair, this plug requires the matching HSC receptacle or adapter — typically a bulkhead or panel-mount version that accepts the simplex plug on one side and a second plug or pigtail on the other. The free-hanging design means no panel cutout is needed at the plug end; the cable exits straight through the boot.
The connector is supplied in bulk packaging — each plug is a loose piece for manual assembly, not pre-loaded on a carrier.
