The Hirose HSCF-2PH3-(P)(65) is a duplex fibre optic plug from the HSC series, designed for free-hanging (in-line) termination. It accepts a 3.0mm cable jacket and terminates fibres with 9.5µm/50µm core and 125µm cladding — covering both single-mode and multimode drops. The plug features an Advanced PC polished ferrule for low back reflection, a keyed body to prevent rotational misalignment, and an integral strain relief that grips the cable jacket. The purple boot colour identifies the duplex polarity.
Termination requires HSC ferrules (sold separately) and an Advanced PC polish process — the factory polish is already applied to the ferrule end-face. The keyed body ensures correct orientation during mating. The strain relief accommodates a 3.0mm cable outer diameter; for cables outside this range, a different boot or adapter is needed.
Operating Environment
