Crimp Termination and Field Assembly
The housing accepts non-gendered crimp terminals, so the same contact part number works for both plug and receptacle sides in the MDF76 system. The crimp termination suits automated or hand-tool wire preparation, and the free-hanging mount allows the connector to float in the harness rather than locking to a panel — useful when the cable routes through tight bends or needs service loop slack. The polyamide (PA) insulation material provides the mechanical retention for the crimped contact and holds up to the rated temperature range without creep.
