Shielded RJ45 Jack for Vertical Board Mount
The Hirose TM11R-3C-88(50) is a vertical shielded modular jack in the TM11R series, terminating 8P8C (RJ45, Ethernet) circuits through a single row of gold-plated phosphor bronze contacts. The vertical orientation and through-hole solder termination keep the jack seated flat against the PCB, with the board lock feature anchoring it through wave solder and resisting shear from cable strain. Full shielding surrounds the port, bleeding common-mode noise from the cable shield to the board ground plane before it reaches the magnetics.
Board Layout and Shielding Fit
This jack mounts vertically through the PCB — the tab direction is user-selectable, so the same part can orient the latch up or down depending on the panel cutout orientation. The shielded shell connects to the board ground through the solder tabs. In a typical Ethernet PHY layout, the shield pins tie to the chassis ground plane via a capacitor-resistor network per the manufacturer's reference design — the jack itself passes the shield connection straight through without internal filtering.
The TM11R-3C-88(50) carries an Active product status and is ROHS3 compliant.
