50 Ohm U.FL Receptacle for Board-Level Coaxial Interconnects
It accepts a male pin contact and is terminated through the board via solder posts, with the shield termination also soldered to the PCB ground plane. The PTFE dielectric maintains a stable 50 Ohm impedance up to 2 GHz, covering ISM bands, GPS, and most sub-2 GHz wireless protocols without a significant impedance discontinuity at the launch.
Through-Hole Mount for Mechanical Retention
The through-hole mount anchors the connector against the shear force of repeated cable mating and unmating — a real advantage over surface-mount U.FL jacks that can lift pads after several cycles. The snap-on fastening provides a positive tactile click when mated with the corresponding U.FL plug; the retention force is moderate, so the cable assembly can be disconnected without tools but stays locked under normal handling vibration.
The PTFE dielectric maintains its dielectric constant across that range, so the 50 Ohm impedance stays stable — no re-tuning needed when the ambient temperature shifts.
