What it is and where it sits in the VH series
The B10PS-VH is the 10-circuit right-angle member of the JST VH series — a single-row board-to-wire header with a 0.156 inch (3.96 mm) pitch, through-hole solder tails, and a shroud that walls off one side of the contact row. All 10 positions are populated with square brass male pins plated in tin on both the mating face and the solder-tail side, rated 10 A per circuit at 250 V. The locking ramp on the housing body is the primary retention feature — it works with the matching JST VHR receptacle housing to resist accidental unmating under pull or vibration. The shroud is single-wall, so the row is protected on one face; orientation matters to keep the open side clear of debris or adjacent conductors in a dense harness.
What the key ratings mean for the fit
How it compares to the B10P-VH-B
The B10P-VH-B is the closest functional peer — same series, same 10 positions, same 3.96 mm pitch, same 10 A at 250 V, same tin-on-tin plating, same shrouded 1-wall housing and locking ramp, same UL94 V-0 material. The structural difference is mounting orientation: the B10P-VH-B is a straight vertical-mount header (through-hole, no right-angle bend), while the B10PS-VH is right-angle.
