What the B5P-VH Is
The JST B5P-VH is the 5-circuit member of the VH family — a single-row, 3.96 mm (0.156 inch) pitch board-to-wire header with a one-wall shroud and locking ramp. Male pin contacts are brass with tin plating on both the mating interface and the solder tail. Rated 10 A per contact at 250 V, the 10 A figure applies across all five circuits simultaneously, making this a genuine power-interconnect header rather than a signal-density device. Through-hole vertical mount with a 0.575 inch (14.60 mm) overall contact length and a 0.303 inch (7.70 mm) mating-zone reach. The mated stack height sits at 16.5 mm. Housing is polyamide (PA66/Nylon 6/6) rated UL94 V-0, with a natural insulation colour and a 0.370 inch (9.40 mm) insulation height above board. Operating range is -25°C to 85°C.
