Pitch, Wire Gauge, and Termination
The 30 AWG wire gauge is unusually fine for an IDC connector; this is built for micro-coaxial or fine signal wire, not general-purpose power wiring. This is fast for production but not field-reworkable — once terminated, the wire is captive.
The 02SR-3S is the 2-position member of JST's SR series. The series spans from 2 to 16 positions at the same 0.039" (1.00mm) pitch, all sharing the same IDC termination and 30 AWG wire gauge. The 03SR-3S (3-position) and 04SR-3S (4-position) are direct siblings — identical in pitch, termination, and contact finish, differing only in position count. For a 2-circuit harness, this is the minimum position count; if your BOM calls for 3 or 4 circuits, the 03SR-3S or 04SR-3S is the correct match.
