The JST 02XAF-2S is a 2-position socket housing from the XAF series, designed for discrete-wire IDC termination. It uses a 0.098" (2.50mm) pitch and accepts 22 AWG wire, making it a compact, low-cost interconnect for internal harnesses in consumer electronics, appliances, and industrial control panels where space is tight and the circuit count is low. The housing is natural-colored and comes in bulk packaging for manual or semi-automated assembly.
IDC Termination and Wire Prep
This speeds up harness build but requires consistent 22 AWG wire diameter and insulation thickness to get a reliable gas-tight joint. The closed-end feature prevents the wire from pushing through the back of the housing.
