0.80mm Pitch IDC Receptacle for 32 AWG Discrete Wire
The JST SUR 05SUR-32S is a 5-position receptacle from the SUR series, terminated via IDC to 32 AWG discrete wire. The closed-end feature prevents the wire from pushing through the housing during assembly, a detail that saves rework time on the line.

Tin Contact Finish and Mating Duty
Contacts are tin-plated. Tin is the standard finish for low-cost, low-cycle applications — think one-time assembly or occasional field service. It does not tolerate frequent mating and unmating the way gold does; the oxide layer builds up with each cycle and increases contact resistance. For a harness that stays mated for the life of the product, tin is fine. For a test-point or frequently disconnected interface, gold would be the better choice.
