7-Position IDC Connector for Discrete Wire Harnesses
The JST 07DB-4K(LF) is a 7-position IDC connector from the DB series, designed for mass-terminating discrete stranded wires without stripping. The closed-end housing blocks wire feed-through at the far end of the connector, making it the natural choice for terminating the last position in a daisy-chain or for sealing the end of a harness run. It accepts 24-28 AWG stranded wire and terminates via IDC — the insulation is displaced by the contact tines as the cover is pressed down, giving a gas-tight connection without a separate crimp tool for each wire. The 0.098" (2.50mm) pitch on both the cable side and the board side matches the common 2.50mm discrete-wire IDC footprint. The black housing is molded in a single row with all 7 positions loaded.
Press-Fit Mounting for Solderless Assembly
The 07DB-4K(LF) mounts through a plated through-hole using a press-fit interface — no solder is required. The compliant press-fit tail deforms elastically as it enters the hole, creating a gas-tight mechanical and electrical connection.
