What This Connector Does in the Harness
The tin-plated female sockets mate with the corresponding ZR pin header; the closed-end housing blocks pass-through, so each circuit terminates at this connector.
IDC Termination — One Shot, No Rework
Cable termination is IDC, which means the insulation is displaced by the contact tines as the wire is pressed in. No stripping, no crimping — but also no second chances: if the wire pulls or the position is off, the cable end gets trimmed and a fresh section is terminated. The free-hanging (in-line) mount lets this receptacle float in the harness rather than lock to a panel, so the strain relief is on the wire bundle, not the connector body.
Wire Gauge Is Fixed — 30 AWG Only
This IDC contact is sized for 30 AWG discrete wire only.
